Participants will know the following vocabulary:
conferencing, attach, attachment, upload, download,
BBS.
Participants will be able to log-in and to log-out
of the Mesonet BBS.
Participants will be able to open their private
Mailbox, read a message, reply to a message, send a new
message, and delete old messages.
Participants will be able to determine when they
have received a new mail message.
Participants will be able to use the history
command to determine if a message has been read by another
user.
Participants will be able to recognize a new
message, a sent message, and an unsent message in their
private Mailbox.
Participants will be able to distinguish between
the two sections in a message window (address and message
sections) and how they are separated.
Participants will understand the difference between
their private mailbox and conferences.
Participants will be able to distinguish between
the two sections in a conference window (folder and
message/file sections) and how they are separated.
Participants will be able to post a message, read a
message, and reply to a message in a conference.
Participants will be able to recognize when a
conference has new messages.
Participants will be able to determine how much BBS
time they have left for the day.
Participants will be able to attach (upload) a file
to a message and download a file from a message in either a
private mail message or to a conference.
Participants will be able to distinguish when they
are accessing information from the WWW and the BBS and what
actions can be performed on each.
