New Look for
OK-FIRST Web Site Unveiled
In conjunction with the training
workshops for the second class of
participants for the OK-FIRST program, a
new design for the OK-FIRST web site has
been implemented. The changes have been
introduced, in part, to allow for
expansion and growth of the system as we
integrate new products and training
materials.
Users will now notice that the OK-FIRST
Current Weather Data pages have been
redesigned to incorporate more color , and
are consistent with other current weather
pages recently developed by OCS, including
the new
Mesonet
Subscriber's Data Page. One
important addition to the data pages for
OK-FIRST, however, includes the ability to
retrieve on-line assistance in the
interpretation of the various data
products available. For example, from the
NIDS current data page, a user can now
obtain descriptions of each type of NIDS
product and eventually be able to examine
interpretation guides for each products.
In addition, other sections of the site
have been completed, and much more general
information about the project is now
accessible.
The new design was conceived and
implemented by Stdrovia Blackburn, Dale
Morris, Renee McPherson, and Michael
Wolfinbarger, who are all OCS staff
